Stakeholder Engagement

Foster collaboration, align priorities, and drive consensus to ensure successful product delivery and satisfaction

PI Planning Workshop

When working in a large organization, I faced the challenge of serving multiple stakeholder groups, each with unique use cases and priorities. This made roadmap prioritization complex. To create a more collaborative and transparent process, I introduced a Scaled Agile PI Planning framework. I brought the team, stakeholders, and users together in a single (virtual) planning session to review proposed initiatives and advocate for their priorities. This approach replaced scattered one-off conversations with a unified discussion, significantly improving alignment and accelerating decision-making. As a result, we entered the quarter with a shared understanding of the roadmap – something we hadn’t achieved before.

Project Kickoff Workshop

While working on a cross-functional product team, I built strong relationships with our subject matter experts (SMEs) and end users and saw an opportunity to deepen that collaboration. To bring their insights directly into the development process, I invited them to participate in our project kickoff workshops alongside the Scrum team. During these sessions, we aligned on scope, clarified the problem we were solving, and brainstormed solutions together. Their real-time feedback helped challenge assumptions and refine our plans on the spot, ensuring we made informed decisions with full context across functions. This approach not only improved alignment and accelerated decision-making but also increased stakeholder buy-in. It proved so effective that the team continued using it as a model for future projects.
